Dr. Shana Capra brings both local roots and international experience to The Kids Dental Practice. Born and raised in Hollywood, FL, she discovered her passion for dentistry at an early age. She earned her D.D.S. from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and completed her post-graduate residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, serving as Chief Resident. She trained and worked extensively at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Broward General Medical Center, The Early Childhood Institute at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development, Caridad Center, and other local clinics. Dr. Capra is dedicated to continually advancing her expertise in pediatric dentistry, incorporating the latest innovations for the benefit of her young patients.

An advocate for children in need both in dentistry and her community, Dr. Capra has volunteered in the Special Olympics, participated in annual dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic, and contributed to the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile Day.” As founder of The Kids Dental Practice, she is devoted to providing early monitoring, preventive care, and continuity of care to children in Delray Beach and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Capra is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. She serves as a delegate of both the Atlantic Coast District Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Academy of Laser Dentistry. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, she is also a proud mother and wife who enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
